On 16 May 2026, the DIANA research team presented its study on rural tourism categorisation at an international conference organized by Bukhara State University.
On May 16, the DIANA project research team, under the guidance of Dr. Asiya Tureniyazova from Nukus State Technical University, delivered an online presentation at the INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL Conference titled:
“GREEN ECONOMY, ENVIRONMENT AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN MODERN TOURISM DEVELOPMENT.”
The conference was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Bukhara State University (BukhSU), Uzbekistan.
During the conference, the research team presented the DIANA project study:
“Categorisation of Rural Tourism Locations for the Development of Stakeholder Ecosystems.”
The presentation highlighted approaches to the classification of rural tourism destinations, stakeholder interaction models, and the role of local ecosystems in promoting sustainable tourism development and women’s entrepreneurship.
The discussion also emphasized the importance of international academic cooperation, digital transformation, and innovative research approaches within the framework of the Erasmus+ CBHE DIANA project.
